Apex Legends players have discovered a new exploit that will allow them to stream Wraith portals and be instantly teleported to Storm Point.
Wraith has been one of Apex Legends’ most popular characters since release – for good reason. His mobility cannot be overstated, leading to impressive play from those who have dedicated time to what exactly their team means. However, this mastery seems to have led to the discovery of vulnerabilities through portal abilities. Players can now place and activate their portals as they appear without limiting the distance or delaying them.
Here’s what we know about exploits.
As Apex Legends content creator RossTheeSquirrel detailed, this exploit requires a few steps and the help of a friendly Revenant, making it difficult to escape in the first place. Using a combination of ultimate abilities, environmental mobility aids, and self-harm, Wraith players can place their portals wherever they want and pass through without any transportation issues.
While Rossi claims that the exploit currently only works on Storm Point, comments from other players in his video suggest that this exploit was played long before the start of Season 12 – until the two legends were available at Kings Canyon.
Unsurprisingly, this can have devastating consequences for teams that lack knowledge or skills. While this isn’t the scariest bug Apex Legends fans have seen, it does raise some concerns about hitting Storm Point.
Respawn Entertainment has yet to make a public comment on the Storm Point iteration of this exploit. DBLTAP cannot confirm if a fix is in progress or if a team is trying to fix it.
