Respawn Entertainment has revealed the talents of Newcastle, a new defensive legend in Apex Legends.
The developers of Apex Legends revealed the talents of late legend Jackson “Newcastle” Williams in a new gameplay trailer released May 2 on the Apex Legends Certified YouTube channel.
Williams, once the Interstellar Manufacturing Corporation’s top soldier, made the decision to resign from his AWOL position after admitting damage to the company. Leaving his whole life behind him, including his name, he settled in Harry Valley as Larmont Craig. He started a family there and lived in what many consider idyllic until the actions of the “knight” Newcastle put the town in danger. After his previous Newcastle passed away and the Avazaks lost to Harris Valley, Williams took over to join Apex Games and pay off the debts threatening his family.
Unsurprisingly, with such a history, it makes sense that the Newcastle team was specifically built to protect others. Combined with his military prowess and compassion for those around him, Newcastle is considered one of the strongest defensive legends to date.

Apex Legends Season 10: Rescuers will begin on May 10. Title legend Newcastle will be the 21st player to be added to the roster since the game launched.
