EA has announced the latest update for the ranked game in Apex Legends: Launch of Saviors.
Due to the increase in the number of players, the decision to improve the rating seems to be on the minds of the Apex Legends developers. According to EA, ranked play focuses on team play and accuracy, but will now focus on other factors. This includes teamwork for victory and RP reflecting each player’s extensive skills.

These RP changes include lowering the level, adjusting the input value, and removing the RP mechanic. Downgrades will be made to accurately reflect player skill levels. On the other hand, they introduced Tier Down Protection to help players avoid losing their rank. When players are promoted to the next level, they will be protected by three games after reaching a higher level.
Entrance costs are adjusted to help earn RP. There are two extremes for players: those who get RP every game and those who don’t. To resolve this issue, the registration fee will vary depending on the player’s rating. However, Masters+ entry costs will increase by RP.
The RP kill mechanics have also been changed for further simplification. If it ranks lower than tenth, you have a chance of losing RP. Conversely, if you rank high but your kills are low, you will also lose RP rewards.
It is also customized for Kill Tiers. By killing a lower level player, you will receive a “slightly lower reduced RP” which will give you the highest RP. There is also a new layer called Rookie. Bronze will be down and will not affect experienced players. Introduced to help new players as they progress. On the other hand, the entry will have a value of bronze.
Some of the recent changes in this update include changing RP limits and fixing murder theft. The Apex Legends team changes their RP thresholds based on difficulty and achievement. When it comes to murder stealing, kills can no longer be misdirected by eliminated teams.
This update will be introduced to Apex Legends on May 10 to “improve and enhance the scoring experience”.
